A tapestry is a wall hanging, typically depicting specific patterns, events, or other elements pleasing to its owner. The tapestry is generally heavy, as it is tightly woven using thick skeins to produce a work of art.

I'll admit that tapestry and life is a tired metaphor, having been used by lots of people to apply to lots of situations. And I can't offer a more descriptive few paragraphs than those authored by Michael Hyatt, CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers (http://michaelhyatt.com/life-is-like-a-tapestry.html). But my goal for this blog is to offer little tidbits of my life and experiences so that others may choose to learn from them. Hubris? Hopefully not, as it is with great humility and a moderate sprinkling of trepidation that I've chosen to enter the world known as "blogging."
